KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Contribute to the delivery of human resources initiatives aligning with the business strategic plan.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including operations, employees, parent groups (and their representatives) as well as client representatives.
- Assist with coaching leaders to manage and take accountability for people decisions effectively and consistently, escalating concerns as appropriate.
- Provide support and advice across all business areas to ensure the understanding of all relevant employment industrial instruments and employee entitlements.
- Assist in the review of HR and related policies and procedures.
- Educate and coach managers and employees on HR policies and procedures ensuring HR compliance with legislation.
- Provide support and coaching to key stakeholders regarding employee relations and performance management.
- Assist with the management and investigation of disciplinary matters, employee issues or grievances.
- Assist with the development and implementation of industrial instruments.
- Contribute to HR reporting and data analytics.
- Facilitate the roll-out of HR related training and workshops as required.
- Engage in continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, researching solutions, and implementing changes.Participate in regular site visits.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an operational HR role, preferably within the mining or resources sector
- High level of communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels
- Ability to educate and coach various levels of the organisation regarding employment legislation and other legislative observations.
- Highly developed planning and organisation skills
- Good level of knowledge and understanding of employment and industrial relations, legislation, and regulations
- Ability to navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Working towards, or degree in Human Resources Management/Industrial Relations or demonstrated experience desirable.
