Description:
Main Purpose:
Provide high level strategic advice to the Bitumen business on all Employee matters. Partner with stakeholders to deliver all HR initiatives and manage the day to day generalist HR function within the Bitumen business. Provide advice and support to the business regarding workforce practices and ensure compliance with Puma Policy and all Employee related legislation. This includes recruitment and selection, on-boarding, immigration, Talent Management, Learning and Development, performance management, industrial relations, workforce / succession planning and employment contracts. Managing the entire Employee life cycle.
Responsible for the in country payroll delivery and HR Operations deliverables.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:
Generalist Human Resources
- Provide advice and support to Management regarding workforce practices and their compliance with employee relations legislation and requirements.
- Provide advice and support to management in the negotiation, determination and management of employee contracts, remuneration and working conditions arrangements.
- Achieve KPI’s , goals and contribute to Human Resource Strategy and Business Plan
- Promote the Puma pathway and ensure all polices are complied with
- Influence your stakeholders to adhere to Human Resources practice
- Complete all reports and updates by the deadlines
- Provide excellent service to Client group
- Produce accurate results in a fast paced environment
- Support the Regional Human Resource team as required
- Attend Client group and HR meetings as required
- Build sound relationships with Department Managers and ensure a high level of HR service to Client group; and
- All other tasks as directed by your Manager
Recruitment and On-boarding
- Complete advertising requests in a timeline, efficient and cost effect manner
- Ensure the recruitment system is used for all recruitment
- Work within the company Recruitment Policy including attending interviews as required
- Compile employment and consultant contracts, ensuring accuracy and prompt turnaround
- Assist and advise Managers on the creation and maintenance of job descriptions
- Communicate with Recruitment Agencies for permanent and temporary placements and work within financial constraints
- Provide recruitment and advertising advice for Managers requiring assistance
- Drive the on-boarding of Employees
- Provide Face to Face inductions for all new Employs and Managers and conduct Induction training
- Provide advice on visa requirements for recruits, contractors and visitors
Learning and Development
- Implement Puma Learning and Development initiatives
- Support and promote the use of the My Learning , on line learning system
- Develop and deliver new internal development programs as required
- Ensure all mandatory training is completed
- Maintain training records and run reports as required
- Deliver standard internal training programs as required
HR Industrial Relations / Performance Management
- Performance cycle including performance reviews
- Provide advice to Management in collective bargaining negotiations
- Provide case management services to resolve complex workforce issues including performance management (early intervention and management of unsatisfactory performance), dispute resolution, grievances and make recommendations on appropriate action.
- Advise on correct and appropriate process for IR issues as per the company policies.
- Ensure correct administration of the process with disciplinary warnings and letters.
- Manage process of company restructures including the completion of administrative requirements including letters of notice, letters of redundancy.
- EBA interpretation
- Termination of Employees
- Prepare for and represent the Company in the FWC as required.
HR Operations
- Human Resource budgets

Payroll
- Work closely with the Mumbai HR Shared Service team to ensure all pays are accurate and correct so that all Employees are paid correctly and on time
- Check and approve all payroll reports and sign off the payroll
- Manage payroll costs and overtime
- Approve all invoices
- Approve the bank files
- Ensure all 3rd party payments are paid correctly and on time
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
Qualification
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or Business. (essential)
Experience, Skills & Competencies
- Minimum ten years’ experience in Human Resources ( Industrial Relations an advantage)
- Payroll experience
- Well-developed knowledge of contemporary Human Resource management principles, policies and practices.
- Sound working knowledge of the employee relations framework including the ability to provide advice on awards, enterprise agreements, and employment related legislation.
- Ability to travel interstate as required
- Advanced Excel skills
- Intermediate skills in Word and PowerPoint
- Proven ability to operate in a confidential manner at all times
