Job Summary:
As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders and managers, providing expert guidance and support on a wide range of HR initiatives. Your primary focus will be recruitment and you will play a key role in attracting, selecting, and retraining top talent to support Equivant’s growth and objectives. You will collaborate closely with business leaders to drive recruitment strategies, employee engagement, performance management, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. The HRBP role is critical in ensuring alignment between HR strategies and business objectives, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the company.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:

  • Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle for a diverse range of positions throughout the organization, spanning from software developer to executive-level roles. This encompasses job profiling, sourcing, conducting interviews, and facilitating the selection process.
  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
  • Utilize a variety of recruitment channels, including job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals, to identify top talent.

Strategic HR Partnership:

  • Build strong relationships with business leaders and managers to understand their objectives, challenges, and talent needs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, provide expert guidance and support on HR-related matters to drive business performance and employee engagement.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that support organizational goals and foster a positive work environment.

Talent Management and Development:

  • Collaborate with managers to identify talent gaps and develop strategies for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
  • Lead talent review and succession planning processes to ensure a robust pipeline of high-potential employees and future leaders.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Proactively address employee relations issues, concerns, and conflicts, ensuring fair and consistent resolution in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Partner with managers to create and maintain a positive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.

HR Operations and Compliance:

  • Oversee HR operations and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Partner with HR colleagues to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Maintain accurate HR data and analytics to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., CHRP, CHRL, PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred but not required.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in human resources
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and HR systems. Experience with Workday an asset
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
