Overview
As a Human Resources Business Partner, your primary responsibility is to support our production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You provide support and coordination in the implementation and effective application of Human Resources policies, procedures and practices for all team members. Responsibilities include employee relations, recruiting, training, time and attendance management and other tasks as required. Prior human resources experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
Location: 695 Martindale Road, Sudbury, Ontario, P3E 4H6.
In some instances, relocation assistance may be provided.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Post-Secondary studies in Human Resources or a related field
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of HR policies, Procedures, benefits and Labour relations
  • Proven skills in the use of MS Office and productivity tool, and working knowledge of HR information system
  • Manufacturing experience required
  • Management Experience

Responsibilities:

  • Actively work as a liason between the Operations, Talent and Development teams and the team members (full-time and from placement agencies)
  • Partner with the Leadership to drive strategic growth within the Talent and Development team
  • Oversee all communications with employment agencies and assist operations, shift, group and team leaders in establishing relationships with all team members
  • Oversee implementation of Wonderbrand policies, protocols and new initiatives, and communicate details
  • Review resumes and coordinate interviews with team members, operations managers to ensure candidates fill key positions
  • Work closely with each plants Operations Managers to determine their current and future staffing needs
  • Track and monitor all request from temporary employment agencies
  • Manage all training documents for key roles
  • In collaboration with all key stakeholders, investigate and resolve all issues
  • In collaboration with leadership assist and participate in the process of progressive discipline
  • Work with leadership to assist and participate in performance reviews related to team members
  • Participate in projects as required
  • Manage and participate in the internal job creation posting
  • Drive team member engagement and implement initiatives to make improvements
  • Actively coaches leaders in leadership behaviors to improve communication, safety behaviours and activities on the production floor to improve and attain a goal of zero injuries
  • Performs safety evaluations, site level self-audits, run site safety committee and ergonomics programs
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of incidents including root-cause analysis and provide probable causes of incidents and recommendations for resolution and appropriate corrective and preventative measure.
