Description:

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Our Human Resources Coordinator will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks. They will possess excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and support to both employees and the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruiting process, including job postings and new hire on-boarding.
  • Handle pre-employment screening requirements, including background checks.
  • Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed correctly and verify I-9 documentation.
  • Schedule new hires for orientation and create new-hire, orientation, and benefits packets.
  • Administer new employee orientation bi-monthly.
  • Create and update electronic files for all employees, ensuring all required documents are in place.
  • Coordinate with the HR Director, department leadership, and payroll to process terminations and create termination requests and exit paperwork.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, entering invoices and cash receipts into the appropriate systems.
  • Assign parking spaces for County employees and maintain the parking data spreadsheet.
  • Process department requests for employee change of status forms.
  • Perform customer service functions, answering employee requests and questions promptly or directing them to the appropriate HR staff member.
  • Answer telephones, screen and route calls, and assist departmental visitors in a clear, concise, and pleasant manner.
  • Receive, sort, date-stamp, and distribute incoming mail, and process outgoing mail as directed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and two to four years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license
