The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator holds responsibility for coordinating various key functions within the HR Department. The HR Coordinator conducts research and analysis related to aspects of the employment relationship, as well as working with and supporting the Human Resource Advisors and Managers regarding a wide range of Human Resource Services at the local levels such as contract interpretation, union negotiations, grievance management, recruitment and selection, training, change and transition, performance management and team development.
Starting salary will be approximately from $65,884 to $82,355 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is a 24-bed facility that sees an average of 22,000 ER visits per year. It is a fully equipped facility with Medical Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, ER and Maternity. Services include:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of a Diploma in Human Resources Management or related discipline, and
  • Three (3) years recent related experience in a large, multi-union organization, preferably within a health care or public sector environment, or
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of human resources methods and practices.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated work planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to use computer applications, such as spreadsheet, word processing, email and database software and Human Resource information Systems.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
