Description:

Key Auto Group is seeking applications for the position of Human Resources Coordinator. The main purpose of this position is to contribute to the attainment of specific goals and results within the organization and HR Department through support in safety, payroll, compliance, staffing transactions, performance planning and information technology.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of confidentiality in workplace guidelines
  • Knowledge of ethical standards in business and human resources
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resources practice
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Human Resources or Payroll related role
  • CPHR certification is considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of laws and regulations governing employment, international recruitment and occupational health & safety in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

SKILLS:

  • High level of proficiency with information technology including the ability to manage data in payroll and HRIS systems
  • Advanced skills in Office 365 software especially Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Mathematical aptitude and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated with proven problem-solving skills
  • Presentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • Completing semi-monthly payroll for over 100 employees who receive incentive-based pay
  • Advancing the Key Auto Group Safety program by leading and coordinating Toolbox Talks, maintaining safety-related records, serving as an Occupational Health Committee Member, and ensuring safety compliance of contractors on site
  • Facilitating tasks related to staffing transactions including recruitment, onboarding, promotions, transfers, leaves and exits
  • Ensuring legal compliance with federal and provincial regulations applicable to the human resources function including, but not limited to: Occupational Health and Safety Regulations; Employment Standards Act; Human Rights Code; Provincial Immigrant Nominee Program; Canada Revenue Agency; Temporary Foreign Worker Program
  • Coordinating and organizing activities, events, and initiatives related to one or several of the organization’s HR functions.
  • Responding to internal and external HR related inquiries
  • Using a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to manage employee information
  • Acting as security administrator for dealer management software and OEM portals
  • Liaising with Information Technology providers to ensure computer hardware and software is in place and functioning prior to the start date of new hires
  • Working with the Management team to support the development of employees
