We are currently looking to hire an experienced Human Resources Director to work out of our Corporate office in Long Island City, New York.

SUMMARY

The Human Resources Director manages the administration of the human resources department. Develops policies, procedures and directs and coordinates all human resources activities such as; employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performance management and improvement systems
  • Internal/External recruiting, staffing logistics and new employee orientation
  • Policy development and documentation
  • Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting
  • Employee relations
  • Company employee communication
  • Employee safety, wellness and health (employee services and counseling)
  • Succession identification, planning, and implementation
  • Organization development and training
  • Oversee the negotiations with Benefits providers (Healthcare, Retirement Plan Administrator, etc.)
  • Present HR related matters to the Board of Directors
  • Ability to bring immediate credibility to the HR function through solid background, experience, communication style and professional qualifications. Proven integrity and confidentiality track record.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Organization Development or other HR related areas; and at least ten years related experience.
