Description:

Under the leadership of the North American Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist will provide HR, Training, and Health & Safety support for the manufacturing facility. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for administration of policies and collective bargaining agreements, relevant reporting, as well as maintaining records and verification of payroll hours for employees. The Human Resources Generalist will lead all plant recruiting activities as well as employee engagement and appreciation events.

  • Provide guidance, counsel, and assistance to managers and supervisors for employee grievances, attendance, and performance
  • Administers hourly employee benefit plans and programs
  • Leads the recruitment, selection, and onboarding for all plant production and support personnel ensuring headcount is aligned with budget and sales forecast
  • Ensures health, safety, and environmental practices are adhered to
  • Prepares various reports for Plant Manager and Upper-Level Management
  • Monitors and maintains compliance with applicable Federal and State regulatory rules
  • Maintain employee records including, but not limited to, personnel data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance evaluations, and employment status
  • Processes weekly payroll for employees
  • Processes temporary employee timecards and submits to temporary agency
  • Creates and maintains plant communication systems (i.e. bulletin boards, announcements, etc.)
  • Maintains the HRIS system
  • Monitors, verifies, updates and reports out on HR KPIs for facility
  • Performs various tasks as assigned.
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Personal integrity and the ability to foster consensus
  • Ability to promote a strong, cooperative, capable, and creative culture
  • Strong computer skills, including HRIS experience, as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of HR principles and practices; experience in a Union environment preferred
  • Detail oriented and precise with excellent organization skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven record of ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Associates Degree required, Bachelors Degree strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years of Experience as an HR Generalist or equivalent amount of experience and education
