REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resource management, preferably in a nonprofit or community-driven organisation.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Passion for mission and values, with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive community.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As the Human Resource Generalist, you will play a vital role in nurturing and supporting our diverse community of volunteers and team members. You will oversee, together with the Executive Director of Operations, aspects of human resource management, including recruitment, training, performance management, and team relations, ensuring that our company remains a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource strategies and policies in alignment with company values and goals.
  • Be involved in the recruitment and selection process for volunteers and team members, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of our team members.
  • Support the roll out of performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive, positive organisational culture that promotes collaboration and collectivism.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the team, offering insights and recommendations on HR best practices and trends.
