Description:

Nature’s Grace and Wellness is looking for a Remote HR Generalist to join our growing team to enhance our HR functions! This individual will work out of our Chicago area to assist with enforcing company policies and practices. This position will also require weekly travel to and from our retail stores in the assigned area.

Responsibilities:

  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Assist in maintaining the employee handbook, being very familiar with all aspects of it, and communicating company policies and procedures.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure and certifications.
  • May assist with recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Assists with maintaining and implementing the performance review process in a timely manner.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of company events, organizational meetings, employee recognition events and holiday parties.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assist with providing HR metrics.
  • Performs other HR related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:



    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Strong Microsoft Office and HRIS System skills


      • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.



        • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.



          • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.



            • Ability to prioritize tasks.



              • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

              • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
              • Bachelor’s Degree and 1+ year of related experience or Associates Degree and 3+ years of directly related experience in a similar role.
              • Thorough understanding of Employment Laws.

              REQUIREMENTS:

              • Must be 21 years of age to apply
              • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
              • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
              • Must be able to pass a federal background check
              • Must be able to travel to assigned retail stores throughout the Chicago region
