We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team and support various human resources programs. Your role as an HR Generalist will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll also act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related Business major with 2-3 years of experience in an HR function OR High School Diploma/G.E.D. with at least 5 years of HR experience
  • Spanish and English bilingual
  • HR Information System experience (Paycom experience is a plus)
  • Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (advanced proficiency is preferred).
  • Previous experience handling confidential employee information
  • Preferred experience: processing payroll, leave management and benefits administration.
  • Preferred experience working in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven organizational skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Available full-time, no rigid nine-to-five mentality, and can flexibly switch between tasks, taking ownership of your work
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities - When someone comes to you with a problem, your answer should never be “I don’t know” but rather “I’ll find out.”

Responsibilities:

  • Act as backup for leave and payroll administrator
  • Help organize training & development initiatives
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and worker’s compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like employee turnover rates and employee engagement surveys
  • Undertake tasks related performance improvement and corrective action
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations
  • Provide hands-on support to the People Ops Partner
  • Assist with recruitment activities including scheduling, screening, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
