JOB POSTING:

Heidelberg Materials Canada Limited is seeking a Human Resources intern to support our HR department for a 4-month term (May through August). Reporting to the Regional Services Manager, this position supports the department on all matters pertaining to Human Resources.
This position is located onsite at our Edmonton Cement Plant office.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Computer proficiency
• Excellent organizational and time management
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive situations and/or information
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective interpersonal and communications skills.
• Good observation, critical thinking and analysis skills.

• Assist with recruitment, selection and onboarding processes to meet staffing requirements at all levels
• Perform various clerical and administrative tasks
• Assist with current year HR strategies
