MultiTech is looking for a Human Resources Intern to join our Toronto team! This position is a great opportunity for a current HR student or new grad to get hands-on professional experience. The role will work closely with the HR Manager on a broad range of HR activities including payroll, HR documentation and admin, health and safety, policy and compliance, recruiting and onboarding, and HRIS maintenance (Ceridian Dayforce).

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Recent graduate of a 3- or 4-year Human Resources post-secondary program.
  • or-
  • Recent graduate of a 1-year Human Resources post-graduate program.
  • or-
  • Currently enrolled in a 3- or 4-year Human Resources program (must have already completed a minimum of 2 years).

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare payroll and HR related forms and documentation.
  • Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll, including pre- and post- processing audits and reporting.
  • Work together with managers and team leads to create and update job descriptions.
  • Coordinate employee health and safety training.
  • Assist with updating the employee policy handbook.
  • Assist with office management tasks (e.g. ordering office and kitchen supplies, coordinating office lunches).
  • Assist with recruiting and selection process, including posting jobs, reviewing resumes, and coordinating interviews.
  • Assist with coordination and execution of employee engagement events and initiatives.
  • Facilitate onboarding process for new hires.
  • Other duties as assigned.
