DESCRIPTION:
About the role
- Provide advice, guidance and support on ER/IR matters.
- Support with addressing grievances, undertaking investigations and disciplinary meetings.
- Support day-to-day operational HR requirements.
- Support with resolving employee relations issues, advising leadership team regarding day-to-day operational HR matters such as written warnings, performance improvement plans and record of conversation protocols.
- Assist and support the HR Business Partner in the development and execution of HR strategies and initiatives as well as implementing of recruitment, selection strategies and processes.
- Support with the development, implementation and review of policies, procedures, processes and practices.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout Human Resource Management, mitigating risks and adhering to regulatory concerns.
- Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
- Manage the performance appraisal process.
- Support with the development of compensation structures.
- Monitor, track and report on HR metrics to identify trends and areas of improvement.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
- Proven experience as HR Lead within a successful corporation or SME preferably in mining, civil construction, and facilities management
- Proven experience in Industrial & Employee Relations
- Broad knowledge of HR/IR requirements relating to Fair Work and OH&S
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Sound commercial acumen and professional business sense
- Ability to think swiftly and calmly when under pressure
- Decisiveness and integrity in all dealings
- Positivism and tact in all situations
- Excellent verbal and written skills
