Description:

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER/LEADER

Our client, a leading North American manufacturer of pre-engineered structures is seeking a Human Resources Manager/Leader to join their team in the Listowel area.
Reporting to the President, the Human Resources Manager/Leader will oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR team while offering support to all divisions, leadership, and employees. By spearheading company policies, procedures, recruitment, and employee relations, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in cultivating a thriving company culture.
Job Type: Full-time permanent.
Salary: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year + benefits and pension.
Schedule: Monday to Friday. Full time in-office.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Drive HR-related activities and initiatives, meeting the evolving needs of the HR function and the organization as a whole.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support on complex HR matters, ensuring professional and constructive communication with employees and leadership.
  • Develop salary bands for the organization ensuring market competitiveness and equity.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and coaching to direct reports, fostering positive relationships and credibility across all levels of the organization.
  • Develop and execute organizational planning, engagement strategies, succession planning, diversity, and inclusion practices.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, and compensation.
  • Lead onboarding, benefit and pension management, safety initiatives, and compliance.
  • Establish consistent performance management, career planning, and compensation benchmarking in collaboration with leadership.
  • Consult, coach, and influence leaders and managers on all aspects of employee relations and team effectiveness.
  • Oversee HR KPIs and provide organizational support for other departments.
  • Manage and advise throughout the employment lifecycle, including performance and salary reviews, succession planning and workplace investigations.
  • Serve as the point of contact for government organizations including the MOL ensuring organizational compliance with regulations and laws.
  • All other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of related HR experience.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or related environment.
  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources is an asset.
  • CHRP/CHRL/CHRE designations are an asset.
  • Experience with ADP HRIS is an asset.
  • Experience with salary band benchmarking.
  • Experience with WSIB case management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR best practices, processes, policies, relevant employment standards, and legislation.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, think strategically, and execute tactically.
  • Proficient navigation of sensitive situations with confidentiality and confidence.
  • Collaborative mindset, adept at working across teams and levels with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for coaching and providing strategic guidance to leaders and employees with an enthusiastic, hands-on approach.
