Overview:
Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for an experienced leader and HR Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this hands-on management role will lead a local team of HR professionals that serve approximately 500 employees across Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with management to attract, develop and retain the best employees, delivering a first-class employee experience, and ensuring we fulfil our legal and ethical responsibilities as an employer.
The Location: Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This position is based in Calgary, AB.
Responsibilities:

As Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible to:

  • Provide leadership, direction and support to the Canadian HR team to ensure the achievement of objectives and facilitate their continued growth and development.
  • Oversee and lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Canadian HR policies, programs, practices and processes including onboarding,leave management, benefits, payroll and health & safety.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on a variety of employment-related matters.
  • Actively participate in the planning, development and implementation of division-wide HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Serve as Co-Chair of the local Health and Safety Committee.

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in Human Resources.
  • A minimum of 5 years of senior level HR generalist experience with at least 3 years leading a HR team.
  • Experience recruiting, selecting, and supporting professional, technical and production roles.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication and business writing skills.
  • Solid coaching, advisory, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Superior organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Solid knowledge of employment law, occupational health & safety, benefits, payroll, HR systems and analytics
