Description:
We, at Leggett & Platt Flooring Products, are searching for a Human Resources Manager for our Morris, IL location, employing approximately 60 employees. Our Flooring businesses manufacture and distribute foam, rubber, and fiber-based flooring underlayment for residential and commercial use. Responsibilities:
SO, WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AS AN HR MANAGER?
- Manage the advertising, recruiting, and hiring processes for incoming talent
- Oversee the branch Affirmative Action plan
- Facilitate the orientation process for new employees
- Maintain relationships with temporary staffing agencies
- Partner with branch management to ensure consistent use and enforcement of Company policies
- Facilitate employee benefit programs
- Manage the FMLA and Disability programs and assist the Safety Manager with Workers Compensation
- Advise and collaborate with management on the understanding and resolution of employee issues and concerns
- Oversee employee relations activities and communication boards
- Prepare separation paperwork, conduct exit interviews, and monitor turnover activity
- Identify business needs, legal requirements and reporting regulations; ensure policies, procedures, and programs are in compliance
- Assist with training initiatives, performance management and development programs, and other organizational initiatives as determined by the business
- Manage employee activities and communications
- Other duties as assigned
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years in Human Resources field
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills across all levels of the organization
- Strong computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
