We are recruiting a Human Resources Manager to join our team based in the Midlands to cover maternity leave. This role plays a key part in the management and delivery of a Strategic HR service to our National Performance and Circularity business. Working on a hybrid basis you will be required to work 2 days on a Tarmac site liaising with stakeholders, and 3 days remotely.
The preferred base location for the position of Human Resources Manager will be in the Midlands however the role does include national travel so we are flexible on location if you are! Whether you live in Birmingham, Solihull Lichfield, Burton, Tamworth, Coventry, Bromsgrove, Wolverhampton, Leicester or the surrounding areas if you enjoy a regional remit then this could be a good role for you. This position is to commence late July for approx 12 months working on a fixed term contract basis.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate for the role of Human Resources Manager will be ambitious with strong HR Advisory experience; ideally supporting multifaceted teams and demonstrate confidence when engaging with stakeholders at all levels. You will work innovatively, driving your own professional development and you’ll relish influencing and collaborating with senior stakeholders. You will also:

  • CIPD Level 5 or Equivalent
  • Good working knowledge of employee relations and legislation
  • Demonstrate a dynamic attitude
  • Adopt a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Be able to effectively manage complex data and multitasks
  • Confident to challenge and support stakeholders working strategically in regard to People Development
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities:

ROLE RESPONSIBILITY

Reporting directly to the Head of HR and Talent, the successful candidate for the role of Human Resources Manager will provide a strategic and commercially focussed HR service to senior management teams engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.

The responsibilities for the role of Human Resources Manager include:

  • Ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies and procedures at all times
  • Supporting the Resourcing Team to ensure a diverse and inclusive workforce, i.e. right people in the right place at the right time
  • Promoting a culture of consistency, equality, and fairness in our handling of employee relations matters
  • Coaching and supporting the management team to create an enabling and engaging culture
  • Analysis of HR KPI data as required by the Senior HR Manager and Head of HR and Talent
  • Absence and performance management for the specified area
  • Coordination of the annual performance review process and other annual HR cycle tasks
  • Partnering with the Reward team and your peers to ensure a consistent and fair approach to salaries and T&Cs
