We are currently seeking a versatile professional to fill the role of Human Resources Manager based in Manhattan, NY office. This position combines the vital aspects of HR management to shape a positive workplace culture at Sax LLP.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures: Create and update HR policies and procedures based on industry best practices, ensuring alignment with state employment laws.
  • Performance management processes: Manage performance management process and initiatives, providing guidance to managers and employees on goal setting, feedback, and development plans.
  • Succession Planning: Involved in succession planning and career mapping.
  • Talent acquisition: Team with the talent acquisition specialist and focus on high level positions. Work along side the CHRO to understand and conduct needs assessment to understand talent gaps as well as current and anticipated hiring needs.
  • Stay abreast of changes in employment laws: Monitor and update stakeholders on changes in employment laws, ensuring compliance and minimizing legal risks.
  • Lead new hire onboarding initiatives: Spearhead onboarding processes for new hires, preparing for new hire, introducing them to company culture and facilitating a smooth integration.
  • Identify learning needs: Work with the Director of Learning and Development to identify skill gaps.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits: Research and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-6 years of experience in an HR and talent acquisition role within an accounting firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of recruiting HR policies, procedures, and state employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with HRIS.
    Location and Work Schedule: The ideal candidate is in the NY or NJ tri-state area and will be required to work on-site at our Manhattan, NY and occasional visits to our Parsippany, NJ office.
