The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly autonomous and proactive Officer – Human Resources to support our Telfer Operations. This diverse and varied position will have the successful candidate supporting operational leaders with the day-to-day management of their teams.
Reporting into the Superintendent – Human Resources, this role is being offered as a hybrid working arrangement, with an opportunity to work a combination of office based and work from home.
The role will include:
- Efficient and accurate execution of HR Administration duties, which will include tasks related to the processing employment changes in EASYSAP and the management of the HR Inbox, in line with payroll deadlines.
- Supporting the management of organisational charts, leave audits and HR reporting utilising SAP and other company systems.
- Assist in the onboarding of new starters by being the conduit between shared services and operations.
- Ensure the efficient offboarding of employees by arranging and conducting exit interviews.
- The provision of confidential advice on HR related policies, procedures, and guidelines with the support of our wider HR team.
- Adhoc travel to site to cover periods of leave and engage with the team.
About You
This great opportunity will suit someone with a can do attitude and a strong customer service ethos. We are seeking an experienced HR Officer who can hit the ground running. Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources will be highly regarded.
Your skills and personal attributes will include:
- You are passionate about people with the ability to engage and relate positively and diplomatically to our customer base.
- You have the capability to recognise and respond appropriately to issues and situations requiring confidentiality or professional discretion.
- You take pride in your work, with an eye for detail to ensure all administrative tasks and record keeping is of a high quality.
- Your high level of planning and organisational skills will be the key to your success in this role
- Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. HR systems knowledge such as SAP would be desirable.
