Description:

Recruitment and selection

  • Approved requisitions to be obtained
  • Placing of adverts internally and externally
  • Internal assessments arranged and scheduled for all skilled positions
  • Screen CV’s for suitability and present to Regional Managers for interviews
  • Necessary recruitment checks to be conducted
  • Completion of starter pack for processing to payroll

Remuneration Administration

  • Ensure that all salary input is received by deadline
  • Capture the monthly salary input and submit to the salary department for processing
  • Obtain processing documents from casuals to ensure payment is made
  • Completed starter pack for salary employees to be handed to Payroll for processing
  • Completed termination packs for salary employees to be handed to Payroll for processing

HR/IR

  • Work with the Retail Management team to proactively identify business needs, access human resource practices/solutions and align them to the business strategy
  • Continually monitor and evaluate Human Resource plans and implementation to ensure alignment with the business’s vision and strategic objectives
  • Proactively initiate actions to improve business unit/operations performance through innovative solutions and address current and future requirements of the business unit
  • Consult with Regional Management team on HR related matters, providing guidance as appropriate, and demonstrate in-depth business and Human Resources knowledge
  • Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers
  • Conflict resolution
  • All department IR requests to be scrutinized to ensure necessary disciplinary process
  • Uploading of received warnings onto personnel folders
  • Suspension notices
  • Notices to attend disciplinary enquiries
  • Obtain investigation reports from managers to complete case notes
  • Chair or initiate disciplinary enquiries
  • Improve efficiency through the management of Human Resource processes

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree preferred or HR related certification
