Contract Type: Fixed Term – 1 year
Annual Leave: 25 days
Pension: 5% Matched contribution
Policies: Paid Sick Leave, Paid Maternity Leave, Hybrid working.
Flexible Working: Consideration for Part time hours and flexible schedules
Location: Office based in Dublin 7, with hybrid working options
Salary Range: 33,000 – 40,000 dependent on experience and pro-rata if part-time hours.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- CIPD accredited or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar role including experience of policy development and/or implementation.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Good knowledge of HR best practice and employment law.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organised and excellent attention to detail.
- Planning skills
- Good level of Analytical skills
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice
- The ability to self-motivate and work independently
Responsibilities:
- Research best practice and compliance: Research and have or acquire knowledge of best practice in HR or employment law, ensuring application of this in line with the HR strategy and organisational objectives.
- Policy review and development: Review and update HR and related policies, processes and procedures, ensuring they are streamlined, in plain English, legally compliant, easy to navigate and support organisational objectives.
- Consultation: Consult internally with employees and managers through reviews or focus groups and externally if required on policy input, considering practical application, communication and implementation.
- Implementation and Communication: Lead new or updated policy roll-out, including internal dissemination, developing training or orientation materials, planning the communication of policy, and assessing understanding and compliance.
- Process mapping: Support the HR team with mapping out processes related to policies or practice, support development of these and update or change if necessary.
- Reporting: Provide reports to the HR manager and Director of HR on progress or compliance of processes or policies.
- Promote Dublin Simon Community values: Promote a culture of respect, collaboration, and inclusivity.
- Work with HR Team & Management Teams: Collaborate with HR Team and other colleagues to align HR practices with overall HR strategy.
