Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW/SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for providing HR administrative and clerical support to the corporate Human Resources Department and local store management. During non-peak and off season periods, duties also entail providing retail and warehouse support to store operations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience of recruiting and staffing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of HR experience.
  • Ability to maintain a strictness for confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding of employee concerns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours including weekends as business needs require.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruiting and maintaining adequate staffing levels – posting jobs on recruiting websites, screen applicants, schedule, and interview.
  • Assist management with addressing and documenting performance issues/concerns, substandard job performance and separations in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Maintain employee records and personnel files.
  • Assist corporate Human Resources department with various projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Assist management with retail and yard (warehouse) duties as needed.
  • Ensure and maintain positive employee relations with employees.
