Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW/SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for providing HR administrative and clerical support to the corporate Human Resources Department and local store management. During non-peak and off season periods, duties also entail providing retail and warehouse support to store operations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience of recruiting and staffing.
- Minimum of two (2) years of HR experience.
- Ability to maintain a strictness for confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive information.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding of employee concerns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
- Willingness to work non-standard hours including weekends as business needs require.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruiting and maintaining adequate staffing levels – posting jobs on recruiting websites, screen applicants, schedule, and interview.
- Assist management with addressing and documenting performance issues/concerns, substandard job performance and separations in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Maintain employee records and personnel files.
- Assist corporate Human Resources department with various projects and initiatives as needed.
- Assist management with retail and yard (warehouse) duties as needed.
- Ensure and maintain positive employee relations with employees.
