Description:

The human resources specialist plays an essential role in facilitating smooth onboarding for all our new hires. The human source specialist will assist the human resource generalist with recruiting applicants, placing workers, handle complex and specialized administrative tasks including reviewing and creating job descriptions, reviewing, and creating job postings, managing, and overseeing all employee records, generating reports, (i.e. eeo-1, turnover, etc.), assist guiding employees through human resources procedures and answer questions about an organization’s policies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

  • Prior healthcare experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in human resources required.
  • High school diploma is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or relevant field preferred
  • Knowledge of HRIS Systems.
  • Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process
  • Experience in full cycle recruiting preferred.
  • Excellent work ethic, including integrity, positive attitude, productive, organized, treats leadership with respect, excellent attendance, continuously learning and willing to ask for help.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a detail-oriented manner.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Moderate noise levels from office settings and equipment.
Standing for long periods of time
Ability to see details at close range.
Ability to listen and understand information through spoken words and sentences.
Ability to read and understand information in writing.
Ability to communicate information in speaking so others will understand.
Daily uses of hands to type, file, and write/sign documents.
Minimum lifting requirements of 25 pounds to pack/unpack supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and recruit high-potential candidates whose skills, culture, motivation, and ambition align with our company’s needs.
  • Continuously update the application tracking system with relevant information- interview notes, resumes, salary, employment data, etc.
  • Utilize networking platforms to advertise our open positions and connect with relevant candidates.
  • Participate in local networking events and job fairs to interact with potential candidates.
  • Work with management to identify internal hiring needs, understand job requirements, and create job descriptions when needed.
  • Schedule and conduct initial interviews with promising candidates.
  • Coordinate second interview in person with hiring manager.
  • Call the candidate to make an employment offer.
  • Order and monitor background and drug screeningclearance.
  • Using the HRIS system, create and send offer letters, send welcome invite, and track pre-employment paperwork.
  • Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation.
  • Ensure proper training and education records are complete and saved in the personnel file.
  • Submit onboarding new user access tickets.
  • Ensure compliance with our onboarding and orientation process.
  • Offboarding of termed employees.
  • Process employment verifications.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies throughout the organization.
  • Assist with employee engagement activities as requested.
  • Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as directed by manager.
  • Back up human resources generalist as assigned.
