REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors in Human Resources Management or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience with Paylocity (preferred)
  • Experience in Human Resources or related field
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues
  • Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations
  • Experience in educating and coaching staff
  • Experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy
  • Ability to give presentations
  • Experience in using computers for a variety of tasks
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE

Under the direction of the Human Resource Director or Manager, plan, direct, or coordinate human resources activities and staff of Switchpoint. Take ownership of all HR duties and matters assigned to you such as hiring, performance reviews, wage reviews, disciplinary action, learning and development, etc.

TASKS

  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
  • Assist with compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
  • Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations when necessary.
  • Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview, check references and select applicants.
  • Assist HR Director and department managers in creating and updating appropriate and thorough job descriptions that include responsibilities, skills needed, tasks, activities, requirements, compensation, etc. for every Switchpoint position/role.
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits.
  • When needed, investigate and report on industrial accidents for insurance carriers.
  • Help administer compensation, benefits, and performance management systems, and safety and recognition programs.
  • Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization’s personnel policies and practices.
  • Under the direction of the HR Manager, plan, organize, direct, control, or coordinate the personnel, training, or labor relations activities of Switchpoint.
  • Allocate human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between personnel.
  • Assist in the evaluation, classification, and rating of occupations and job positions.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to instill Switchpoint culture and foster positive attitude toward Switchpoint’s objectives.
  • Train and support Switchpoint managers to conduct new employee orientation and onboarding at different locations as needed.
