Description:

We are seeking a Human Resources Summer Student to join our team on a 4-month term from May until August 2024, located in downtown Regina.

The key responsibilities for the Human Resources Summer Student include:

  • Assist HR team with ongoing HR projects and initiatives and support on all administrative tasks
  • Assist with recruitment efforts by sourcing candidates, phone call screening, coordinating interviews and reference checks
  • Assist with revamping onboarding and new hire orientation
  • Support the development of educational materials for various employee benefits
  • Assist with keeping up to date employee information
  • Collaborate in training initiatives, events, recognition ideas, etc.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL ALSO HAVE:

  • Enrolled in a Human Resources, Business Administration program or related field
  • Additional Human Resources training or experience is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ethics
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Excel
  • Knowledge of an HRIS system would be an asset
