JOB SUMMARY

Leads the human resources area by overseeing all HR-related functions. Working manager position focused on Recruiting, Hiring, Onboarding, Training, Performance Assessments, Employee Relations, Benefits, HRIS, etc.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor?s degree required plus 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in the HR field
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective engagement and dialog with senior leadership team
  • Ability to act in a consultation role up and down the chain of command and able to reach consensus.
  • Hands on engagement: manager/director
  • MS Office skills required
  • Self-starter attitude
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, and temporary employees; develops and monitors career-pathing programs. Employee retention ? strategies to lower turnover. Upgrade onboarding and hiring processes
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; Development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.
  • Administers compensation program; pay and salary structures, monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Processes payroll weekly, both internal as well as for outside temp agencies.
  • Oversees benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, 401(k) procedures, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.
  • Develops and maintains equity, diversity and inclusion programs; files EEO-1 report annually; and maintains all other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO and other regulations.
  • Manages employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of Human Resources department and services performed and implements improvements.
  • Maintains human resource information system (HRIS) records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Prepares and conducts Human Resource related training, e.g. employment laws and best practices; performance improvement trainings, etc?
  • Advises senior leadership of any HR related concerns that requires their involvement
  • Develops and oversees employee recognition programs.
  • Conduct surveys and create strategies with leadership team on how to improve
  • Ensures various company events are coordinated/organized appropriately. e.g. picnic, Christmas party, charitable events etc.)
