Description:
CareSTL Health is seeking a HR Assistant to join the team! The Human Resources Assistant will support the Human Resources team through a variety of tasks related to recruitment, on-boarding, payroll, performance management, and employee engagement.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources (HR) Assistant is responsible for the daily
administrative and HR duties of the organization while providing a high level of customer service to
both internal and external customers; providing timely and accurate responses to inquiries, meeting
recurring deadlines and maintaining confidentiality in all areas of Human Resources. This position
carries out responsibilities to include assisting with recruitment, onboarding, new employee orientation,
credentialing, record maintenance, performance management, learning development, and other duties as
assigned to support effective and efficient operations of the Human Resources department. This
position as the responsibility for demonstrating the core values of CareSTL Health: Customer
Service, Community, Commitment, Compassion and Competence.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE:
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and
- Experience working within a matrix organization; track record of successfully collaborating cross-functionally with
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
- Ability to thrive under agile environment
- Ability to prioritize
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking

Responsibilities:

tasks that may be assigned. The Human Resources Assistant may be reassigned duties and

- Provide administrative support to assigned team members, which include scheduling, meeting coordination, material preparation, data entry, making travel arrangements and processing expense reports.
- Handles incoming phone calls, correspondence and emails, identifying critical items for
action and quickly prioritizes and initiates preliminary materials needed by each executive.
- Support the Human Resources team by providing assistance with various processes and
initiatives to include recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning and development.
- Establish, update and maintain all employee files in accordance with established
procedures, files documents in a timely manner and retrieves information as requested.
