POSITION SUMMARY

This position collaborates with the facilities/maintenance manager and is accountable for providing mechanical trade support for all facets of facility related repairs and maintenance. This includes the installation of air, power, water, gas utilities, general maintenance and repair of HVAC and process cooling equipment. They will use their skilled trades knowledge and experience to develop and complete improvement opportunities to eliminate or reduce equipment unplanned downtime.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High School degree or GED
  • EPA universal refrigerant Certificate
  • Journeyman status or along with lines of
  • OSHA 30 HOURS safety course

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • NFPA 70 Electrical safety
  • Lockout/tagout
  • Demonstrated mechanical & electrical fixing skills
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Must provide all necessary hand tools for the job
  • Ability to be in fast-paced manufacturing environment with ambitious priorities
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems R, SAP preferred
  • Boom and scissor lift operation and safety
  • Adequate social skills and enjoy working closely with others

Responsibilities:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple service calls and projects at one time, at different locations General HVAC maintenance/mechanical/building systems Building Management systems and Ethernet communication Control system design, installation and fixing Direct expansion and water-cooled refrigeration system fixing/repair. Proper use, recovery and handling of a variety of refrigerant types per EPA and industry standards. Electrical solving – high voltage/low voltage/controls/motors. Safety/security requirements and proper use of gear Basic Rigging Soldering and brazing Ability to source parts, tech support and resources from various vendors, local and national Define and modify preventative maintenance schedules Support capital projects for equipment replacement and expansion Comply with required quality, safety, and operation/distribution quality system documents - such as our quality manual and policy, good documentation practices, plant safety commitments, general safety requirements, personal protective equipment program, and good manufacturing and distribution practices
