Description:

669 Heat requires energetic, motivated and career-minded HVAC Service Technicians and Installers to be responsible for performing onsite installation and maintenance to HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems and equipment. He/she will either:

  • work as part of installation team to professionally install HVAC equipment, accessory items, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes. To ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care, maintenance.

OR

  • professionally service HVAC equipment, accessory items, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance.

The HVAC Service Technician and Installers shall also be responsible for keeping work areas clean and orderly and for driving company vehicles, maintaining a mobile inventory of parts and tools.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • A minimum of 3 years recent HVAC service or Installation experience with exposure to furnaces, central and ductless air conditioners, gas boilers, water heaters including tankless heaters
  • Heat Pump experience (asset)
  • Must have demonstrated strong technical, customer service skills and company metrics in current and previous roles.
  • Must be effective at HVAC lead generation and CPP enrolments.
  • Sheet Metal Fabrication experience an asset
  • Valid Gas Fitter B Certificate
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic License is an asset
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean record
  • Clear criminal record
  • Comfortable working from heights and using a ladder
  • An accountable and responsible personality, delivering high customer satisfaction and has a positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively within a team environment, completing the installation and commissioning of HVAC elements
  • Strong customer service skills

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Ensure customers heating, ventilation, and air-condition equipment meets or exceeds municipal building codes and standards.
  • Follow all Energy Star installation processes and procedures.
  • Educate customers on proper care and maintenance and promote all various HVAC options
  • Complete general and specific HVAC equipment inspections
  • Maintain a clean, fully stocked vehicle
  • Explain the benefits of newer highly efficient equipment to the customer.
  • Promote 669 Heat products and services on every call.
  • Must never sell the customer a repair they do not need.
  • Provide a five-star experience on every call or make it right before leaving the customers home
  • Feel comfortable requesting online reviews from customers.
