Job Description:
Client: A subsidiary of a leading oil and gas exploration and production company
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Type of hiring: Contract (possibility of renewal)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualifications: Certificate in engineering or equivalent, OR relevant working experience in Workover operations and Well Interventions. Valid IWCF Well Control Certificate.
  • A minimum of 12 years experience in Completions, Workover, and Well Intervention operations.
  • At least 5 years in a Superintendent/Wellsite Leadership position or managing well operations.
  • Essential experience with a workover unit or Hydraulic Workover Unit.
  • Must hold a valid Well Control Certificate at Supervisor Level.
  • Supervisory experience in at least one of the following work scopes: slickline, wireline, or coiled tubing.
  • Advantages to have experience in Deepwater completion/workover operations.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Familiarity and experience with drilling software for daily reporting such as WellView, OpenWell, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing day-to-day hydraulic workover operations.
  • Ensuring the implementation of the overall workover plan and wellsite activities align with approved procedures, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Maintaining constant communication with workover engineers to meet well plan objectives.
  • Planning and organizing workover activities, allocating resources accordingly.
  • Managing service company personnel onboard.
  • Facilitating communication between the company and Hydraulic Workover Contractor.
  • Coordinating with the workover team and platform Person in Charge (PIC).
  • Liaising between the company and the Captain of the Accommodation Barge (AWB).
  • Monitoring and tracking costs onboard the Hydraulic workover rig.
  • Documenting workover activities, including work permits, well handover documents, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
  • Managing logistics to support daily workover activities.
