Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Serves as human resources coordinator for one or more advanced human resources sub-programs: Coordinates Subject Matter Experts & conducts job analysis for development of Position Specific Minimum Qualifications (PSMQs) and content-valid assessments & selection instruments
  • Serves as point of contact for class plan proposals by coordinating changes & developing draft classification specifications
  • Coordinates class plan compliance/audits; reviews and approves personnel actions (i.e., ePars) and position descriptions (i.e., PDs) with decentralized appointing authority designation
  • Provides guidance on ePar processing, PD writing, & other Human Capital Management (HCM) related sub-programs
  • Provides training to hospital HCM staff on Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (i.e., OAKS/ePar processing), Taleo Onboard Recruit, Webcheck pre-employment background checks, & other HCM related subjects (e.g., ePerformance)
  • Provides assistance as needed to facilitate efficient operation of all HCM programs in accordance with all applicable laws
  • Coordinates and performs recruitment activities for Central Office (to include Ohio Pharmacy Services and Bureau of Recovery Services): (e.g., submits position requests through HR Authorization or other designated program; creates job postings in Taleo with applicable supplemental questions and adhering to OhioMHAS best practices; collaborates with hiring manager to develop interview questions and/or assessment tools; screens applications utilizing supplemental questions & moves applicants through exam plan; coordinates, schedules & attends interviews at Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC) institutions; participates in hiring/s selection process functions; conducts all required reference, educational & pre-employment background checks & prepares pre-hire paperwork for applicants; prepares ePars; notifies all non-selected applicants; coordinates and communicates new employee orientation information; confirms effective date after all approvals are in place)
  • Conducts human resources portion of new employee orientation
  • Researches personnel issues & topics & prepares reports as needed
  • Prepares (e.g., researches, gathers information) technical documentation for use by human resources staff; responds to requests for employment verifications; attends relevant meetings, conferences, seminars; serves on committees as requested; performs other duties as requested.
