The Ohio Department Insurance, Office of Information Technology and Security (OITS) is seeking an IT Operations and Security Manager (Information Technology Consultant 3) to plan, coordinate, and manage information security, network, endpoints, telecommunications and service desk teams and its associated administrative activities, including design, implementation, and administration of both hardware and software, and providing cost-effective solutions for infrastructure and end-user needs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Your Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Managing the day-to-day operations in information security, infrastructure, telecommunications, endpoints, and service desk support teams.
• Oversee the design and implementation of the agency’s IT infrastructure to ensure it meets organizational needs and goals.
• Manage staff responsible for the design, analysis, maintenance, and modification of software and hardware to enhance employee’s overall user experience.
• Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and reliability of the agency’s infrastructure, implementing necessary updates and fixes as needed.
• Leads/supports cross-functional projects as required.
• Acts as a liaison across functional areas and works directly with areas responsible for service delivery (e.g., network staff, security staff, department managers, vendors, project review teams)
• Coordinate performance measures and determine if changes need to be made for optimum service delivery
