QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or another relevant field
  • Master’s level degree (Education, or other relevant field) is preferred

Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience in developing business strategies for programmatic growth
  • Experience providing administrative support and coordination in a higher education institution
  • Experience in a student recruitment, management, public relations, or marketing role
  • Experience with a Customer Relationship Management software (Salesforce preferred)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues affecting enrollment management
  • Familiarity with best practices for assessing, developing and implementing new business processes and procedures
  • Ability to effectively present information, and conduct training sessions and workshops
  • Verbal communication skills to clearly express ideas in an objective manner, and adapt communication style to suit the situation and audience
  • Ability to write clear, concise and accurate procedural documentation
  • Ability to apply creativity, innovation and resourcefulness to daily work
  • Cross-cultural competency with an ability to interact and work effectively with people from different cultures and backgrounds
  • Ability to understand customer needs and expectations and provide excellent customer service to directly and indirectly satisfy expectations

Responsibilities:

The IB Coordinator will manage the day-to-day administrative and logistical functions of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program within the Faculty of Education. The role will assist with the alignment of resources to best support the achievement of the program objectives and will facilitate the budget development and monitoring processes. The IB Coordinator will contribute to the design of the program, participate in developing strategies related to new program initiatives, and contribute to the successful implementation of all aspects of the program. The role will ensure that students, faculty, and/or staff within the programs have the necessary support, information, documentation and resources, and will provide expertise regarding program governance, admissions, student academic issues, program progression, and other related policies and procedures. The role will also assist with the development of communications and marketing materials aimed at enhancing the reputation and awareness of the IB program as required. The IB Coordinator will also support the development, planning, preparation and implementation of recruitment and communications strategies for the International Baccalaureate program. The role will develop and build relationships, promote the Faculty of Education and Western University, and attract high-quality students to the program.
