IBMi Applications Developer, Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with the Business Systems Analyst to understand the business requirements and translate these to technical requirements
• Complete all SDLC development deliverables that were defined as in scope within the agreed upon timelines
• Provide regular cadence updates and adhere to all formal project management requests
• Provide Third Line IBMi Application Support as required during regular business hours. Provide after hours Third Line IBMi Application Support on a rotational basis
• Work after hours for planned and unplanned outages as required

IBMi Applications Developer, Knowledge and Skills:

• University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5-10+ years IBMi / AS/400 experience (Application development and system operations)
• Advanced proficiency in RPG - ILE and SQL
• Proven track record of working with large databases and ensuring they are optimized for performance and stability
• Strong problem solver with proven history of being able to resolve urgent and complex business impacting system issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills both at technical and business levels
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies
• Team player with an exceptional work ethic, detail oriented and self-motivated
• Able to effectively meet deadlines, plan, and organize multiple priorities
• Fosters change, handles stressful situations well and always maintains composure under pressure
• Able to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to adapt and change priorities as the business needs change
• Previous JDA MMS experience
• Retail applications development experience
• Previous experience with Profound UI software
• Experience with Jira and/or Asana
• Previous experience with integrations with an emphasis on cloud and/or SaaS solutions
