Unifi is a fast-growing finance and technology company operating in Zambia, South Africa, Uganda and
Kenya. Unifi delivers personal lending products through online, mobile phone and branch channels. The
company is well supported by strong shareholders and a board of directors with vast experience in
entrepreneurship and lending.
Unifi is recruiting a new member of the IT team. The ideal candidate must be conscientious and have a
natural curiosity to learn how things work. A healthy spirit of adventure and sense of humour would be
helpful.

REQUIREMENTS

? A relevant degree or diploma.
? 3+ years of relevant work experience in an IT support environment.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using logical pragmatic reasoning.
? Attention to detail
? A concern for order, quality and accuracy. A meticulous approach to work.
? Fast and self-learning abilities.
? Result orientation and eager to work hard and smart.
? Good communication skills.
? Willing to travel
? Passion for Africa and willingness to work in the developing world context.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of the group’s ICT infrastructure. Not limited to;
? IT hardware. Includes procurement, setup, maintenance and replacement processes.
? Networking and cabling - ensure consistent high standards throughout the group
? Connectivity. Data, voice, telephony
? Desktop security (including antivirus, patch management)
? User security awareness and training
? Desktop support services
? Management of in-country IT teams (currently 6 people)
? Key supplier relationships and management
? Google Workspace administration and adoption
? Cost management
? Others: Firewalls, VPN, Queueing systems, CCT
