Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing technical assistance to business partners in support of planned/unplanned technical issues to maintain the continuity and functionality of production business processes
  • Primarily responsible for working day to day user support activities, as well as supporting system maintenance activities such as – application bug fix, and project deployment support.
  • Works on day-to-day operational IT activities such as P1 escalations, application maintenance etc.
  • Communicates with other service lines to synchronize on scheduled, planned outages
  • Responsible for interaction with the IT support service provider on a day to day basis
  • Monitors the ticket backlog and take actions as needed, Monitors and escalate tickets that have missed SLAs or close to missing
  • Acts as SPOC for any operational activities performed by IT support service provider
  • Ensures the IT support service provider is following all the documented processes, including but not limited to Incident Management, Escalation /Crisis management, not downgrading tickets without proper approval, not putting tickets on hold without proper justification
  • Customer service for internal IT teams as well as business partners while working closely with support resources in other service areas
  • Resolution of operational issues promptly within the defined schedules and service level agreements
  • Execution of GxP-related activities in adherence to standard operating procedures
  • Monitoring using standardized tools for application monitoring, incident management (SPARC), problem management, change management, and knowledge management
  • Provide customer service for internal IT teams as well as Business Partners while working closely with support resources in other service lines
  • Tech-savvy people who are self-motivated enough to provide consistent customer support with minimal supervision will thrive in this role. On any given day, deskside support professionals perform on-site or remote servicing, repair, and installation of computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • Most deskside support professionals work full-time in an office environment. However, many do not work common nine-to-five hours. Due to their vital role in supporting businesses 24/7, they may be required to work nights or weekends. Deskside support technicians take repair requests in person and by email, phone, or live chat. Offer Customer Service, Problem-Solve Computer Issues, Provide Hardware and Application Support, Install Software Upgrades, Create and Maintain Documentation, Offer Customer Service, Problem-Solve Computer Issues, Provide Hardware and Application Support.
