Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our state government client is seeking multiple experienced ICT Network and Infrastruction Coordinator’s for a temporary contract assignment for 2 months in their Nedlands office.
Rate: $60-80 per hour plus Super (depending on experience and suitability)
Location: Nedlands
Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week
Duration: 2 months only
Type: Temporary casual contract

ESSENTIAL PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Comprehensive experience in the planning, installation, configuration, management, maintenance, monitoring, tuning, backup and recovery of Microsoft server eco-systems, including on-premise and cloud-based ICT infrastructure and services, virtualisation environments and technologies, Data Centre technologies, VMware vSphere operating systems and Azure, and liaison with third party support providers.
  • Experience in network and email administration using Microsoft Exchange, Windows Server 2012 and above and virtual server administration using VMWare ESXi.
  • Experience in Desktop SOE configurations and management.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating a small ICT service desk team.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in IT network systems management, monitoring, firewalls and security applications, practices and principles, routers, switches, Azure cloud and server hardware.
  • Sound analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for liaising with internal and external clients to identify needs and develop plans.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have considerable experience and knowledge in Cyber Security technology and practices, and ideally within a state government environment however we will review all candidates with appropriate experience.
  • Must have full working rights within Australia
  • Must have a current National Police Clearance or able to obtain if successful

Responsibilities:

Working under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, this position is responsible for:

  • managing, maintaining, administering and updating ICT networks, systems, infrastructure and security to ensure optimal performance and reliability;
  • coordinating desktop support services and the IT Service Desk team, resolving escalated issues;
  • ensuring appropriate operating procedures are in place to maintain the network;
  • being the subject matter expert on Cloud computing, VMWare, Exchange Server, Active Directory, MITEL, Cisco Telephony, HP, and ICT security;
  • managing, administering and supporting the networking, telecommunications, computer and virtual server infrastructure and presence in the cloud;
  • coordinating ICT projects and continuous improvement initiatives;
  • providing advanced support for the primary ICT systems and servers;
  • implementing and managing information security practices; and
  • undertaking works to ensure adoption of latest technical trends and their application.
