Expert IT is a managed service provider with a reputation for delivering remote and on-site services with technical excellence. The role is based in Manukau city, Auckland but offers an opportunity to travel across New Zealand.
The Role
As a result of our continued growth, we are looking for a Support Engineer to join us on a permanent basis, full time (40 h/w), 5 days a week. This role will provide both remote and on-site support work for clients Auckland wide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to clients and resolve technical issues by analysing and reviewing systems, data and documentation.
  • Identify, analyse and solve issues, potential high risks related to the network, servers and endpoint devices and recommend corrective actions
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve system issues
  • Provide technical support for installation, maintenance, repair, upgrade and configuration and troubleshooting of desktops, software, hardware, printers, Internet, email, databases, operating systems and security systems
  • Maintain and administer systems including Windows OS, Microsoft Office suite, basic printing and server hardware support, including but not limited to end user support and working with external vendors as needed.
  • Review and recommend current and future hardware and software to clients
  • Maintain effective communications with clients at all times to ensure awareness and adherence to standards, procedures and quality control issues
  • Provide remote and on-site support to clients at various locations.

Essential skills and experience:

  • A Bachelor’s or higher degree in engineering and a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
  • Microsoft - Windows Server, O365, Windows 7-11, Active Directory
  • Desktop administration, provisioning and troubleshooting.
  • Good time management, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
