Description:

The post holder is responsible for the deployment of IT systems and the resolution of a range of ICT related issues for the Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will primarily provide analyst support for mobile and static devices involving deployment, hardware, software applications and related technologies that underpin the delivery of patient care. They will also support the Taurus EPR programme deployment and maintenance of any related end user device equipment.
To attend sites the postholder will use a trust owned van and be responsible for its upkeep of cleanliness and fuel which will be reimbursed via trust expenses.
The job is to provide more visible and improved onsite support for Trust staff. They will look to increase first-time fix rates and reduce the current waiting time for an engineer to attend site and resolve technical issues.
The postholder will be supporting a broad range of system administration activities, database maintenance, system testing, problem analysis and resolution, training and user support for the suite of ICT Technical Support. The postholder will ensure that all information, irrespective of media, is processed and used in accordance with policies and procedures.
The postholder will be responsible for providing frontline support on the ICT Technical Support and Supporting the Taurus EPR Project.
The Technical Support team must adhere to standard protocols and procedures in order to appropriately support staff and escalate accordingly. Staff are required to provide expert support and also general user support for colleagues outside the ICT Department.
The postholder will be working in an environment that requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, pressure with time constraints to turn around and process complex information and dealing with a diverse client base.
The postholder will develop expert knowledge in a range of ICT Technical Support Systems.
