Location: Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital
Service/Department: Intensive Care Unit
Contract: Fixed term July 2024 to June 2025, Full-time (or negotiable hours), 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• A strong interest in the professional development of staff working in the Critical Care setting.
• A strong clinical ICU background (PDRP Level 4 preferred), including relevant Post Graduate study.
• Excellent communication skills, highly organised with expertise in facilitation of training and education.

There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse, practicing at EXPERT level, to join our ICU team as a Nurse Educator. This is a fixed term position until June 30th 2025.
In this role you will work closely with the permanent ICU Nurse Educator to support the service to ensure quality evidence-based services continue to be provided for our patients. You will also assist with the orientation of new staff and students to support them to become comfortable to grow their skills in their working environment, as well as supporting existing staff to reach their full potential. There are approximately 85 RNs currently working in our ICU.
