ICU nurse- transplant organ coordinator

A relevant nursing qualification (Diploma in General Nursing/ B Cur Degree) with a Critical Care Diploma/Degree or 6 month certification in/medical and surgical nursing registered with SANC.
Current registration with the applicable body.
Counselling ability, including HIV counselling skills
Current and valid BLS and ACLS certification.
PALS certification – optional.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an ICU.
The Organ Procurement Coordinator will handle the entire organ transplant process. This includes communication and coordination between the donor/donor’s family, recipient and doctors regarding organ transplantation services. The individual will manage the deceased organ donor process and facilitate procurement of viable organs for transplantation to a waiting recipient. The Transplant Procurement Coordinator will also provide assistance during organ recovery, transportation and follow up post-transfer
