The role
This position reports to the Clinical Informatics Strategist - Nursing Director, Digital Healthcare Program, ieMR Digital Services as a member of the Training team. The role will focus on the delivery of effective computer-based training to support the implementation of the ieMR within Townsville University Hospital and associated off-site in-scope sites and services.

Generous remuneration package value up to $127,236 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary rates between $3928.50 - $4274.40 p.f. (AO5)
  • Annual leave loading + leave

Role requirements

  • Educational qualifications (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) and/or considerable experience in computer-based training are highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Experience with the delivery of ieMR training modules is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a class ‘C’ motor vehicle to meet operational requirements. When driving Queensland Health vehicles, possession of a relevant driver’s license is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided to the employing service prior to the commencement of duty.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:

  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to enable effective interaction in individual and group settings.
  • Comprehensive understanding of adult learning principles and ability to deliver training and education in a complex clinical work environment.
  • High level conceptual and innovative skills to effectively organise, coordinate, deliver and prioritise training and education for Health Informatics.
  • A record of having a high level of negotiating, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members, clients and stakeholders and develop appropriate training materials that support training.
  • Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines and be an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide an effective customer focused service.
  • High level knowledge of applications and other software specifically utilised by Queensland Health.
