Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A degree in Finance or Accounting, preferably an MBA, CPA or CMA certification.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to step back, analyze the overall business impact and synthesize the messaging.
- Experience leading diverse global financial consolidations in an accurate and timely manner
- Strong leadership skills and consistent track record to adapt leadership style to different situations and people.
- Demonstrated history of excelling in a large global company and highly matrixed environment. Ability to handle ambiguity is a must.
- Proficient at understanding and proactively communicating the financial implications of business decisions and dynamics
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Must have an outstanding attention to detail and strong process rigor.
- Self-motivated; bias for action
- 10% travel requirement
Responsibilities:
- FP&A leadership of a $1.3B division
- Lead all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes to include month-end close, reporting, planning/forecasting and analytics activities
- Identify, monitor, and articulate key operating metrics, and synthesize messaging the business performance in the division
- Lead the annual operating plan process (AOP), Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) processes as well as play a key role in the annual strategic planning process (STRAP), in a matrixed financial forecast, ensuring financial decisions support the company STRAp/AOP and current market environment
- Communicate results to the broader organization and ensure alignment on key financial goals
- Develop and lead analytical methods for exploratory and explanatory business insights
- Lead financial modeling for key investment and STRAP objectives
- Accelerate decision making via development and utilizing of visualization tools
- Develop operational metrics / contingencies
- Recommend financial risk mgt strategies / perform market impact analysis, articulate and demonstrate knowledge of key profit drivers for the business, understand drivers and market forces and impact on future business prospects
- Business partner to VP Marketing, VP HR, VP Customer Care/EHS/Quality/PPI/EHS, and Sr. Director IT
- Develop a “best in class” finance staff and function. Lead a team of 7 individuals
- Liaise with Group FP&A and Systems teams to drive reporting integrity, accuracy, and process efficiency
- Oversight, implementation and organizational change management of appropriate systems, control/process standards, and drive continuous improvement
- Champion other ad-hoc projects and initiatives, as assigned or as self-identified areas for improvement.
