About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an Integrated Logistics Support Engineer to join our 950 DD Management line of business based at SA- Edinburgh Parks, reporting to the Engineering and PM Resource Manager.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as the option to work a 9-day fortnight.
As the Integrated Logistics Support Engineer you will be responsible for providing support engineering expertise across the Electronic Warfare (EW) group in accordance with project plans. This being across such specialities as Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM), Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Logistic Support Analysis (LSA).

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting support engineering activities in accordance with the Engineering Management Plan and relevant Project Integrated Support Plan (ISP)
  • Creating and maintaining an Integrated Support Plan (ISP) as required for the Project
  • Providing support engineering effort to Electronic Warfare Projects as allocated by the relevant Project Engineering Manager (PEM) including but not limited to;
  • Supportability analysis
  • Influence design for Design for Test (DFT), Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Support (DFS)
  • Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM)
  • Reliability Modelling with the use of Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs)
  • Experience with PTC Windchill® Risk and Reliability software would be viewed favourably
  • Reliability predictions and calculations
  • Availability and Maintainability modelling
  • Logistics Support Analysis
  • Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
  • Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
  • Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM)
  • Spares analysis including generation of the Recommended Spares Provisioning List (RSPL)
  • Technical Documentation and Training
  • Flagging any support engineering resourcing concerns to the Project Engineering Manager
  • Providing input to Cost Account Managers on support engineering progress
  • Ensuring any risks identified are discussed with the Project Engineering Manager, and captured in the project’s risk register

About YOU

  • Experience (and Analysis capability) in a speciality logistics environment Engineering background
  • Experience in a defence or related technical industry
  • Tertiary qualified in an applicable speciality logistics or engineering field, or equivalent experience
