Description:

Responsible for the delivery of an efficient, responsive, effective and customer focused support service for the PACS system and its associated peripherals. The Senior IT PACS Technician will have responsibility for ensuring that IT technical support is provided to appropriate levels of customer service in line with corporate Service Level Agreements.
Senior IT technicians must work closely with the PACS Managers and other IT Managers to ensure a high performing, structured and co-ordinated approach to the provision and delivery of PACS support.
Provide on-going expertise to IT Support and PACS Team for designated applications.
Co-ordinate and provide user support and training during Projects, particularly during implementation phases.
Undertake designated Requests for Change
Be the first point of contact within the PACS teams for all technical queries, incidents, problems and requests.
Accurately log Informatics-related calls for incidents, problems and requests received by telephone, electronically or in person using the Trust’s Service Desk
Take ownership of and manage the resolution of incidents, problems and requests in an efficient and professional manner, whilst conforming to Trust and departmental agreements, policies, procedures and working practices, escalating and seeking further advice and information within Informatics, when necessary.
Escalate and monitor incidents and requests reported to external agencies, suppliers and contractors ensuring that appropriate minimum data sets are submitted correctly and full communication of call progress is maintained in a timely
Participate in all duties relating to PACS Support including (and not limited to) logging of incidents, problems and requests for work; Identification and rectification of hardware, software and network issues; Installation and maintenance of PACS devices and all associated peripherals, PACS software and all associated peripherals, software, designated applications; image deployment; administration of logon credentials for designated systems/applications; Progressing, resolving, updating and closing of call logs; seeking further advice and information within Informatics, when
