Responsibilities
The Barrow Neuroepidemiology Research Program is a multi-disciplinary research laboratory focusing on investigating neurodegenerative disease and other neurology disorders. The laboratory uses two primary research approaches, cohort and administrative data studies. For the cohorts, we take a deep phenotyping approach in populations highly exposed to environmental neurotoxicants, using detailed clinical assessments, molecular and structural imaging, and exposure quantification. Our administrative data studies primarily use Medicare data to understand risk factors for neurologic diseases, to develop predictive models to identify patients earlier in their disease course, and to identify potential disease-modifying therapies using pharmacoepidemiology. The team conducting these studies is highly multi-disciplinary and includes physicians, data analysts, computer scientists, epidemiologists, and a geographer.
We are seeking an Imaging Research Specialist to join our team! Operates and helps maintain MRI scanner develops and codes new methods for MRI collection and reconstruction performs post-processing for faculty helps faculty perform research. Works under guidance of PI but able to work independently.

Qualifications
Prior employment or training in a research clinical or other scientific environment is advantageous.
Must have training or experience in both signal processing and medical imaging physics.
Must be proficient at computer programming and have basic computer systems administration skills.
Must have fundamental knowledge of medical imaging particularly MRI.
Education
BS in mathematics, statistics, or any mathematical field.
Pay Range
$27.77 - $40.27 /hou
