We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about working in this innovative and fast paced environment. We offer an exciting opportunity for experienced or new graduate nurse at Interventional Radiology in St Mary’s Hospital
St Mary’s is one of the major trauma centers in London and is highly specialized in both general interventional procedures as well as vascular procedures. The department offers great opportunity in learning from the most basics procedures such as biopsies and drainages, to the most complex treatment of Angioplasty’s, Thrombolysis, Aortic stenting, ureteric stenting and embolization treatment, Liver Ablation. It also provides the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in the recovery of post-anesthetic patients and Level 2 care, offering an umbrella of learning and development of opportunities.
The department participates in quality improvement projects allowing staff to develop their ideas and empowering everyone to work together to become experts on the field.
The band 5 staff nurse will play an integral part in supporting the Junior Sisters and the team according to our trust values, and ensuring the delivery of high quality patient care within this innovative environment. T he post holder will collaborate and support the team in the delivery of high standard and quality care, will be responsible for the assessment, planning and provision of specialist nursing services, and carry out specialist nursing procedures for a continuous efficient and effective service. The post holder will provide clinical supervision to students, facilitating their training and development, as well as undertaking involvement and supervised practice on research, quality improvement projects, and clinical audits within their own specialist area. Ensuring safety and well-being of service users, and promote dignity and equality adopting patient centred approach in line with NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
