Description:
Overview:
Lead all import/export activities, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure execution of Indonesia import and export activities
Responsibilities:
- In charge for Import activities of Equipments, Raw Materials (include Commodity and Agriculture products), Packaging Materials, and Finish Products
- In charge of Export activities of Finish Product to other markets, in coordination with APAC Central Hub
- Manage relationships with 4PL / 3PL /Freight Forwarders
- Management of related import and export requirement Indonesia and Other countries, include Quota, Permits related documents and activities (Pre-Shipment
- Inspection, Certificate of Analysis, etc)
- Working with Corporate Affairs to engage Local Governments relate to Import/Export Activities
- Actively Involve in Import/Export Association
- Co-Lead Partner selection working with Procurement
- Ensure Timely Shipments and provide Estimate Dispatch plan, Vessel and Truck Load planning
- Ensure On-time dispatch of orders and smooth/fast possible time for port clearances
- Ensure Productivity in operation - maximum container load utilization and minimize the transportation cost
- Liaise with x-functional team (Supply Chain Planner, Finance, Procurement) on import/export matters
- Champion and embed GCS understanding, control, ownership and execution to achieve an effective audit rating
- Track In transit shipments - On Time shipments, delayed shipments, shipments delivered to customer, PODs
- Support in monthly/quarterly/annually meetings with related suppliers by analyzing their performance and renegotiating the terms
- Support in the meetings with business owners and exporters to negotiate terms and operational aspects of shipment/warehouse/Demurrage Detention term with supports from GP team
- Weekly reporting to different stake holders on the status of different shipments
- Root Cause Analysis of the delayed shipments and ensuring a workaround in case required
- Collaborate with Sector Central Hub I/E team on related program / improvement initiatives to improve Logistics for I/E business
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in Import and export, transport with at least 3 years in a field and multi- country logistics role (freight forwarder, liners, or related operations), especially for Foods & Beverage business
- FMCG / B2C logistics experience in a highly volume shipping environment
- Experience managing 4PL/3PL/Clearance mgt. system and delivering business benefits
- Experience in dealing with Government Import/Export Regulations
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills, and adaptable to multicultural exposure
- Fluent in English, Bahasa
- Ability to co-ordinate and influence from a remote location
- Good presentation and facilitation skills, problem solving/action planning
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics/Transportation Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or related field
